Use to have Falken ZE502's, Not good in the wet, very poor, get some Falken FK451's much better handling in the wet and overall aswell aswell in my opinion, well i have them and they are excellent.

I have the Hankook's in 215/35/18 and they are great. Loads better than any Falken I have had.
I'm running Kumho 712s. Used to have Yoko A539s. The 712s seem to be quieter and abit more comfortable. Probably because of a more flexible sidewall.
Grip and steering response is adequate but perhaps marginally lesser than the A539s.
Lookswise, the huge "KUMHO" sign on it does not get my aesthetic vote. A539s have a much beefier look for the size because it has squarer shoulders making them look bigger than the 205/40-17s that they are.
Wet grip for Kumho 712s seem adequate but I have friends complaining that the lack of wet grip caught them out completely by surprise. Could have been power-on understeer though...
If nothing else, Kumho 712s are good value for money.
As for Falkens, don't you UK boys have the Azenis ST115?
The ONLY white Astra GSi on the island!!
Goodyear F1s or Toyo Proxes, for wet and dry handling.
I have Falkens on the GTE and they are no good in the wet

I'm using hankook k102's at the moment and think they have great wet weather handling. they also have a very aggressive tread pattern.
But r considering changing to toyo proxes because every one i speak to seems to recommend them or goodyear f1's. the only problem being that the goodyears r being replaced with the new GSD3's which r supposed to be awesome the only down side is the price £145 per trye![]()
