    Smile Grinding Noise

    When the car is sat there idling and I turn the steering to full lock and rev the car high there is a grinding sound. It does it when I turn the wheel to both sides.

    Any ideas? It's an Astra GTE 16v.

    Kick me if i am wrong, but do you have power steering?

    If you have then that ould be it, although full lock with power wteering usually **clunks**

    yup, shouldnt hold power steering on full lock for more than a few seconds, stresses the pump, pipes etc. as far as i'm aware.
