mk3 dash into mk2 astra gte?

how hard would the conversion be???

i dont like the gte dash as its kinda tacky but the mk 3 astra one is really nice.

a mate says its wider than the mk2 but im not too sure.

also can the display for the radion be removed or was this not standard 0n all mk3's???

This has been asked before, and it has been done. I think from what I remember of the last time it was asked was that it fits with minimal tinkering. The hard bit is the new heater controls and the wiring. Since the display (for a normal Mk3) is just date and time, you should just have to supply power to it and it'll work fine.
Quite fancy doing this meself.

a mates offered me a mk3 astra sri dash for 25 quid.

whats the difference between this and, say, the dash out of a 1.4 LS?

Ive heard from other MK2 owners that seein as the Daewoo version is the same as the mk2 the Daewoo dash should fit in with minor mods. Im not sure how the Daewoo dash looks but its worth a look.

yeah sounds like a good price if its good condition

think they are identical - u might have a 3 box display on the cenre console (date, radio, temp) and it could br black but other than that they are identical

i wouldent bother with a mk3 dash as it wont suit the rest of the interior like the door cards, instead a mk4 dash looks right at home , ill post some pics if i can .

mk4 dash is far classyer than the 3, dunno if anybodys done it tho. th 4 is bound to be wider

the only things thats gonna be staying original inside the car is the digi clocks and rooflining so the fact it wont match anything else is really irrelevent.

There was that V6 blue Mk2 in Germany or similar that had a Mk4 dash in.
It looks the absolute danglies!
