Lowest I Can Slam An Astra Mark 3

I have an Mark 3 1.4i Vauxhall Astra L Reg,

I have just brought a set of 17" wheels and fitted them, what is the lowest i can go on a set of springs without any arch modifications, i just want to swap the springs and thats all.
Also what springs are the best for my car? I know Olly used 40mm Apex springs but it doesnt say if he had to mod the arches.

    Cheers guys

    What offset are the wheels?

If they are et42+ you will be able to lower 40mm without arch mods.

go as low as you dare, i went -80mm on 7x17 ET40 with no arch mods, depends on car to car

i wouldnt recommend doing what i did though, as i chopped mk2 astrra -60mm springs, was a little bit harsh

I'm on 17s, ET35, lowered -40mm on Apex springs, standard shocks - NO arch mods, and no scrubbing or anything...
