Astra mark 4 heater controls

The dials / control buttons in my mark 4 feel like theyre not screwed/clipped in properly, you can grab any of the dials and pull/push the whole unit forwards/back a good few mill away from the fixed plastic of the centre console. its definately the entire unit that moves as a whole, so im guessing its been out and not put in again properly, so how is it attached?

It gives an annoying rattle on the motorway so im guessing its not just bad built quality, is it clipped/screwed to the centre console in any way behind the back, and is it going to be possible to reattach it if I strip things, just want to know how its actually fixed before i strip the whole lot and find its a waste of time???

its got 4 clips, (one on each corner) that hold the control panel into the fascia. If you remove the radio and the pocket below the heater control, you can see the clips and see if there attached.

cheers for that, will pull out stuff above/below and see if I can sort it.

are the clips prone to breaking at all, if so are they replaceable or are they integrated to the controls (need a new unit if theyre broke?) its almost clipped in properly but not quite, which makes me think maybe one or more are broken, if theyre a push fit then pulling the unit forwards should clip it in? i tried this by pulling all the dials towards me at once but didnt make a difference

the clips are metal mate, they can be removed from back of centre console, i bought a car nd it was doing that so when i dismantled it the metal clips had been put on upside down so i just had to turn them over, the clips are attatched to back of centre console first then the heating controls need to be pulled into position untill then click into place so try a good pull on controls first may sort it.
