i need to order some tyres soon for my 280bhp kadett d (mk1 astra) with 8jx17" wheels. im wanting 205/40/17s.

whats recommended?

Shexy wheels

Toyo proxies get my vote, pretty reasonable and give good grip. They do wear quicker than others but you get what you pay for

deffo toyo's t1r's really nice grippy tyres and not stupidly priced , pairs on ebay for around 125 quid

f1 gsd3's are better than t1r's and they last longer too.

Ive tried many types of tyres, but the eagle F1s get my vote, closely followed by proxes (which are a fair bit cheaper, but not as good in the wet)
