    Mk3 Astra Dash Removal.

I want to take the whole dashboard out of my car to sort out the wiring mods I need to do. It's all unbolted and the steering wheel etc is off but I can't see how the top edge (at the base of the windscreen) is attached.
I can see what looks like a plastic clip but I don't know which way to try and remove it. Does the dash just slide into the plastic clip ?
Has anyone taken one out recently or know of a picture showing what the clips are like please.

Found a thread that mentions there are screws under the windscreen cowl near the wiper motor.
Does that sound right, never though of looking there just assumed that it came out from inside the car.

Thought I would look at the haynes manual properly and sure enough it tells you exactly how to do it !

If anyone else was wondering, remove the cover from the base of the windscreen, remove the wiper motor and then undo the 3 fixings.

Makes a change to have manual that doesn't just say take it to the dealers, shame I didn't bother reading it properly.

    Re: Mk3 Astra Dash Removal.

    Hi
Not sure how far it all goes yet. Basically I have taken all the ECU and injection stuff out apart from the water temp sensor wire and one of the wires to the coil. I'm going to use part of the MK2 Cav loom as the coil connector plugs are different and wire that in. I will pull a lot of stuff out like the key immobiliser unit and probably the air bag stuff. It's such a pain grovelling about in the footwell, plus if its raining or snowing I can sit in there comfortably and won't get cold or wet !

While it's all out I can give it all a really good clean as well, it's not that nice at the moment.
