I have an M reg 1.2 8v corsa that im using for my first car and i would like to know what work would be involved in adding a rev counter as my car currently doesnt have one.
Also is it possible to fit the astra gte digital dash display as i love the way it shows the speed and the revs which rise upwards

is it the dizzy engine, if so you use the dizzy main lead as a rev counter pick up. Pretty easy mod i think you should still be able to fit a digital dash aswell

You should be ok to locate some rev counter clocks from an equivalant 1.2 corsa B and bolt them in. Many of them have the wiring already in place but if you fail in finding it either ask again on here or pop onto Corsa Sport - for Vauxhall, Opel and Holden Corsa and Barina as they have a how too available.

Just remember that you need to know for sure if yours are cable or electric driven

Yes my car is the dizzy engine, do you have any idea how to carry out this work because although im doing a level 1 motor vehicle engineering course im not that good yet and i have absolutely no idea if mine is cable or electric driven :s how do i check or find out ? ?

Put up a wanted post and cross your fingers. They fetch good money due to their rarity

thanks for the help guys i might just try and find a mechanic that is good with electronics because sadly i am awfull and i would want to make sure that everything is done properly with electronics
