Nitromors will take it off ok but your have to rub it back with several grades of wet and dry afterwards to make sure they are all smooth again.

..I just rubbed mine back with 120 sand paper and then use W&D

wouldn,t 120 being a bit rough? i would have thought about 240/320 myself?
but thats just opinion. And will nitromors take the paint right back to metal?

Soz it may have been finner but as long as your careful your be ok. The only problem with nitromor is that it'll never always remove all the paint, and your have to be very careful it doesn't start to eat away at the surface of the wheels.

    Re: Alloys

if you think 120 is too harsh I recommend you use a thicker primer in future as you will be making a hell of a lot of work for yourself going 240, I've used 80 on flaked corroded alloys before, really gets through and reshapes the area very quickly, then a high build primer (high 5 from halfords if your not familiar with or even use a compressor) over the top smoothed with 240 then paint and laquer.

so much quicker than trying to tickle the paint off

if you're using a compressor then next time your at your suppliers ask for 1k high build, it's what I use and it goes on so thick dries pretty much straight away doesn't sag and is so forgiving.

Good stuff, or you can use a good polystopper first then prime...

    Re: Alloys

If i was you i'd take them and get them sand blasted, this will remove everything.

Most sand blasters charge by the hour so it shouldn't cost you that much.

Just be sure they know what medium to use - probably crushed shell rather than sand as that'll chew through alloy PDQ!
