But i think the vauxhall offset is et49. For why reason is better to buy with et45?

Because Compomotive do alloys with lots numbers of offsets, is it better to go for compomotive MOs with et47 than et45?

Ring compomotive on 01902 311 499 and ask for Mark, he knows his stuff

    I reckon he'll tell you to go for ET40, ET42, or ET45

ET49s can catch the struts, as said before.

i had 8x18 MO's in an ET40 offset to make sure of no strut contact

Yes i agree with you but i want alloys 7" width not 8". If you can put a 8" width wheel in your car with et40, logicaly i can put an 7" width wheel with et49 or et47 and off course with an et40 like yours. But in tecniqal queries in wheel offset explain it says that it is best to stay as close you can to vaux offset which is et49. And i want to put 1" thinner wheel from you and with tyre 205/45/16. Is it so big difference 4mm from et49 to et45 to can't put a wheel with et49 and 7" width?
Truly i don't know but i want not only to haven't problems but to have as possible right wheels for the vauxhall cars.
Thanks for your reply but i am confused more.
Is it better to go between et49 (my opinion) and et45 (your opinion) for et47 which is in the middle?

OK. Thanks for the advice. i 'll go for et45. Apart of that if sometime i 'ii buy another car maybe alloys with et45 fits to it. I think some cars have et45. Or better, maybe i have chance to sell the wheels to another person with another car because and my future car it will be a vauxhall!!lmao

Offset of the wheel. In the vauxhall cars the et is et49 for 2wd and 4wd cars and et35 for rear cars like carlton. But in some vaux cars it's a little different like i think nova gsi (et47). Go to mig tecniqals or a site like compomotive's wheels for a analytic explanation of offset.

IIRC there is a good explanation in the archives of this site.
