Mk4 astra (G) tyre size list

These came on 15 and 16 inch rims afaik.

Does anyone ave a haynes and can someone post up the list of tyre sizes fitted as std?

Also if anyone knows what kind of rim width can be fitted easily.

    cheers

    Astra owners manual says...

    185/65 - 15 or 195/60 - 15

    or

    205/50 - 16

I was just discussing this the other night. Mate has a 1.6 on 15's with the 185 size fitted. Advised him to move up a size to the 195's.

As for width. The standard 16's are 6J. Would take a 7J rim easy. GSi snowflakes are 17 x 7.5J i think.

working on 205/50 16 which is quite a nice size, 205/45 17 would work on a 7j rim. Not convinced id want to with the state of the roads tho!

Personally Id always go for the 195s on the 15 inch rims, not because of the extra 10mm, but because of the reduction in sidewall and reduced rolling diameter!
