For ease, a clifford alarm will pop the doors and start the engine.

Door popers can be found on ebay tho.

if your after some very good solenoids that you can get from a scrap yard , best around , and what i used for my corsa which was de-handled.
find a daewoo matiz i think it was , they kinda look like the mk2 astra . use the solenoid from the boot of one of them .

ye sort of get were your coming from , wot your sayin is that the live runs through the popper device into the noids which is connected to earth, but would this not mean that the popperdevice will activate before the solenoids which are obviously releasing the door, did you make your brackets for the noids and poppers?

if say i bought a remote central lockin kit with 1 spare channel i could use the noids in the kit to realese the doors and do wot your sayin with the poppers and the other channel i could connect the remote engine start, would this work? cheers
