ripped seat... advice needed!

hey guys

my granddad owns a corsa d design and has owned it from new for 2 years i think and there is now a huge rip down the side of the seat....this isn't wear and tear because the leather was in perfect conduction!

it looks like the plastic underneath it has rubbed against it when getting in and cut it from the inside. it looks like the same is happening to the otherside. he took it to the dealer he got it from and they said they would not replace it because its only coverd for 12 months.....

we are kinda stuck about what to do.... that dealer told us to try another dealer (well i think the mechanic did)

any help would be muchly appreciated (ill get pics up if it helps...)
