    Coilovers fitted finally

Got some coilovers last month and just got them fitted, had a bit of a mare getting them on as some may know, first off one of my old shocks sheered on the end so I was unable to remove the strut mount so had to go buy a new one (£45 from vauxhall £12 from A1 parts)

Then when all fitted up it knocked, realised NO SHOCK BEARINGS hahaha so brought some new ones for £23 and fitted them up today, no knocks or bangs, just need to get the camber and wheel alignment sorted..

They are from Belgium off eBay Hottuning, and I think the ride is actually very good, even at my lowness and anyone who has moaned about the knocking and banging must have them set up wrong, I get no knocks even on full lock.

Very impressed, even for the price (being super cheap £160 delivered)

hottuning coilovers are pretty good....ive installed quite a few now but i would repaint the legs as they tend to rust pretty bad...

Sits nice, what size tyres are you on? My rears rub the inner arches when I am carrying passengers. Was thinking about some coilovers to help stop the rubbing.

Surely you are only pulling it one way though? ie. you are pulling it along its length.

The coilovers were designed around the original droplinks so unless I start getting problems I see no reason to buy shorter ones.

I fitted the shorter ones when I fitted my coilovers, and it made it worse It hit the ARB on chassis. Standards back on and it's all good

    Re: Coilovers fitted finally

Yeah it does and the adjuster sits metal to metal (unless you mang the bush then you lose another 6mm height) plus any lower on the rear would cause scrubbage I am sure

    Re: Coilovers fitted finally

it would look pretty silly if it was lowered any more IMO...would only go lower with some deep dish wheels, but with them it sits pretty much perfect
