    Question My Omega

Hi guys as u can guess i'm new on this site, been driving for 6 years though, my list of cars is endless lol, from a mk 1 golf to my last which was a Renault 5GT Turbo, lots of fun when u can get them started lol!! any way i've had a few vauxhalls aswell and my latest is a 1996 Omega, i was wondering if u guys could tell me what sort of options/companys there are to enhance the performance, its completly standard and its well looked after, want just a few subtle changes ie lowered etc but my main enphasis is engine performance, i would love more power but also want it to be reliable as its a daily driver and my family car, any ideas???

dude thats an awesome budget what v6 have you got??? the 3.0 i hope

and i would say with a budget like that would be to get a super charger can easily use a charger of a mini or a merc even...all you need is somehow get the inlet side sorted and the pulley system really and thats the hard parts sorted i reckon

Just sold my mint engined MV6 for under £500. You can get one with a good shell and generally mint all round for under 1k

2.5 V6 is ok when its wound up, but 3.0 is just so lively.

    Re: My Omega

If you do lower it you will have to get spacers for the rear wheels otherwise they will rub.Im in the same boat really as i have a 2.0 omega but its the old 8v not the 16v but a really good engine and its just turned 187,000 miles

    Re: My Omega

i dont see why it would be difficult...it has a big engine bay...just need to have a custom bell housing made for it to fit to the gearbox, and custom engine mounts made for it...then you have management to worry about...but its not simple, you will have to make ALOt of things, like acc cable and various pipe works etc
