and a dark gun metal grey type colour would look pretty good against that goldish colour

If they are the wheels on the car & Its silver, then Gunmetal is a good one, dont bother with the coloured rim, that only really looks half decent on Jap cars.

Thanks for the comments and advise . I'm thinking of perhaps a dark silver ish colour too .
Can get proper Wolfrace wheel paint for about £5 a can .

Will not have the rim tape re-done .

Will post a couple of pics of car as requested

you can't tell realy by that one pic .

Well , seen as they had no kerbing that was easy on the face , the inside was a bastard .. the old sticky weight stuff , trying to get rid of that rim tape , took hours even with a hairdryer .

With the face , just used wire wool mostly , then etching / filler primer .
It's hard to get the angle right with silver to see the shine , but it is shiney now .
