my modified spark plug cover

im converting an XE to LET and decided yesterday to keep myself entertained by modifying my spark plug cover
i figured that its gonna be the first thing you see when you open the bonnet so i wanted it to be different from the rest

first step was to get the dremel to earn its money by removing the raised 'vauxhall' text




i wasnt happy that it was 100% smooth so i got out the filler



gave it a basecoat in silver (also wanted t see how it looked in that colour)



then i sprayed it with some old hammerite i had in red, it was the end of the tin and immediately covered the cover in s**t so i washed it in diesel and started from scratch again, i know it was a bit OTT but i want the spark plug and rocker covers to be perfect

heres the final result



i actually preferred it in silver but you have to bear in mind that my rocker cover will be black, i cant remember who's car this is but its the reason im going for this colour sheme as the colours go together perfect IMO

im guessing atleast 35 - 40 bhp (isnt that what you get from an induction kit) lmao

its different but not too my taste. ima i would of painted it all or smoothed the lot.
