    Lowering 2002 astra van ????Load-sensing proportioning valve

    hi, iv got a 2002 astra 1.6 8v van, written on the inside of the passenger door is something about a Load-sensing proportioning valve will this effect anything if i go to lower the van
    is there anything different i need to do or is it just a straight forward spring change??

    Depending on the type - and I assume it works off the suspension/axle - it'll need to be reset and/or bent as otherwise the brakes will operate with too much rear line pressure and cause the rear brakes to lock up under firm/hard braking!

    i have mine lowered around 90mm(nova springs) and have never had any issues with rear brakes locking up, or the MOT brake tests.
