paintin calipers

i am not sure wot colour to paint me calipers and drums on my corsa now i have just fitted some alloys.

can anybody give me a ideal coluor to paint them that will look nice?

Silver for the calipars so they look new.
Black for the drums.

Go for a colour that stands out

Alot of people go for blue or red, but IMO it's too common.

I've got lime green on mine (but with a black car they do stand out and look rather good

I have had a bash @ refurbing some gsi calipers, got a decent polish on them but not sure how long they will stay looking decent. Main goal was just to clean them up and paint them, but i noticed i could get a nice shine on them.





Should i paint theses or leave them the way they are ?

they wont stay like that long once they are on the car so I would paint them

thinners mabey or even petrol, it depends on what kind of paint you will be painting them with

I have heat resistant black or yellow.........not sure on exact type.

I think i will be going for black, my rear drums are black

I take it i can't just coat them with a laquer and they will stay shiny ?

wll I would say it would be best but, I have done it before with just normal paint, , Just my opnion tho.

Yeh, may go down that root, took me foookin ages to shine them up, be a shame to cover them in black paint.

Hey VX Corsa, hope you don't mind me postin on your thread, maybe helps you in your choice about your calipers. For your Blue car m8 i would be going Black, Blue, or possibly Yellow if you want them to stand right out. I had my current ones yellow but went black coz i didn't like how much they stood out + my cav is goldie \ silver and wasn't happy with it.

My theory is that small brakes should be all black, nice big discs and calipers should be coloured.

did mine black as they are standard vaux brakes (standard to a v6 anyway) just to tidy them up as black was better than rust.... red painted drums are gay nobody has performance drums ffs
