help with fitting a gsi spoiler to a 1997(R) corsa b...

hi, im new on here and i have a corsa 1.2 breeze. i have recentley picked up a gsi spoiler for it and currentley getting it back up togeather and hopefully put onto my car.im just wondering weather to attempt it myself with my uncle or to get vauxhall to do it. if i was to do it myself, is there anyway to make sure you get it right first time as i dont want to be drilling wholes into my tailgate and then relise there in the wrong place. also the mount that goes under the spoiler,on the car i took it off there were 6 screw threads to hold it on, but obviousley my car hasnt got this as it wasnt made with a spoiler, im just wondering what would be best to fix this part on with.

many thanks

john

Rather than drilling it why dont you bond it on with sicaflex? At least that way you have a bit of time to realign it if need be. Drilling is a one time oppertunity

just slap it on mark the points of contact, drill the holes, elongate if needed and as for the under part just use some automotive double sided tape on it as youll be getting water in there and you dont want bare metal exposed.
