Re: Does anyone have a boomstick exhaust.

If it's much much louder than a standard one, which i'd imagine it would be with no backbox and a name like 'boomstick', then it's illegal and you risk being pulled by the poolice.

Re: Does anyone have a boomstick exhaust.

shouldnt really be that loud if you still have the original centre on, unless the baffles in that are shot.

Re: Does anyone have a boomstick exhaust.

ang on a mo, manifold > front pipe > cat > centre section( with silencere) > back box ( original has silencer)

yours is same as above less rear silencer yes? or have you had a race pipe centre section fitted too?, if you havent it sounds like the centre silencer is fubar

Re: Does anyone have a boomstick exhaust.

here is a video of my boomstick, only a short video as it was chucking it down. sounds a bit crap on idle, but really gets going when you go through the gears, will get another video of it in motion soon.

Re: Does anyone have a boomstick exhaust.

If u can you should get one of it revving hard. just to give us an idea. i once got pulled for my big bore 4 lol copper said it had no baffles so it was illegal. And guess how he checked it. He put his asp up the pipe. What a ****. I ended up getting the chief copper guy round my house to explain to him and the other copper how an exhaust works. Then they cancelled the ticket. so i guess its just the cooper want to pick pn a modded motor and not the noise. You should be fine. From what i heard it's not ott loud.
