Cavalier SRi seats into a Nova?

I have just bought some some Cavvy Sri recaros to fit in my sons project 5 door Nova. Problem is the bases on the recaro are nothing like the standard Nova seat. Anybody got any ideas on how i can get these mighty fine seats into the Nova?????

Re: Cavalier SRi seats into a Nova?

think you need to put the base frames from the nova onto the cav seats, should bolt straight on and then in they go

Re: Cavalier SRi seats into a Nova?

you sure the mounting bolts don't line up? pretty sure its just a swap of the base frames......
mate of mine put astra seats in a nova and they just bolted on. think they're the same seats.

but i could be wrong, stranger things have happened

Re: Cavalier SRi seats into a Nova?

What you will need is a set of sub frames from nova sr,gte, gsi, sri seats, these can be made to fit the cav seats. The std nova seats you have dont have a sub frame as such, more a pivoting front leg.

Re: Cavalier SRi seats into a Nova?

Cheers Gary!!!!

Your response is spot on. The boggo seats installed at the mo are a one piece welded and pivoting type thingy

I need to source some like you say.

I will keep you posted

Thanks again

Re: Cavalier SRi seats into a Nova?

if they are recaro i am quite sure the aftermarket recaro subframes will still fit the seats as long as they are nova ones id say 85% sure maybe more
