Leak in drivers footwell, 2001 Corsa C 1.4SRI

Hi Folks, i own a 2001 Corsa C 1.4 SRI, the car has developed a serious leak in the drivers footwell, the water is coming in from behind the brake pedal when i spray water in the bulkhead area behind the washerbottle, the drains in the engine bay dont seem to be blocked and i cant figure out where its getting in????

Anyone else had this problem, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks Dave.

I have a 91 Astra GSi 16v that developed this problem too.

Under the skuttle panel (between the bonnet and windscreen) in the center is the blower for the heater/ cooler. It is a rectangular box which has an air filter over the top. In front of that (If your standing at the front of the car) is a black tube dead center that drains water away. This was blocked with black SHIZ and was allowing water to collect in the drainaway area. I took the pipe off and cleaned it out and took the blower out and resealed it with double sided tape. Haven't had such serious rain yet but it didn't leak when I washed the car yersterday!

If you want any more info or pics, just holla back!

    Hope this helps!!!

Blemtime, I've just done exactly the same thing on my Cavalier as I was getting wet carpets.

I was a bit late for work this morning, but I stayed until 7 last night in a poxy meeting, so it's OK.

Re: Leak in drivers footwell, 2001 Corsa C 1.4SRI

well I too have this on diesel corsa C again its that sealed bulkhead plate below the brake master cylinder.Apparently I was advised this is a small design fault whereby crud washed off the drivers side windscreen ends up in the drain area below the master break(behind the plastic flap which vents water on outside face of bulkhead) Crud builds up here and east away at the plate seal which is very close by usually about 7 years! as inmy case. Again yep 400 pound bill to replace as 4-6 hour job. I really want to clear it out and use window sealant just worried it will not work. You know if it is this plate as if you move carpet back from behind pedals you will see small droplets of water dripping off plate behind brake pedal...
