The legend that is Al has very sexily slipped me some gorgeous 15" Corsa SXI wheels for my own Corsa.
Now then, to get this project moving along, what size tyres would be best, speaking from experience?
The car will be lowered 60mm on Koni springs and shocks, and rubbing on the arches is a definite no no.
I'm after purely handling and grip, I don't care what they look like.
195/50/15?

i'd say go 195/45

On mine I had 195/50R15's which would rub on yumpish roads, 205/40R17 which would rub and 205/50R15's on cavalier GSi alloys which didn't.

OK, there no Toyo 888's lmao, but they do the job if your on a budget.

Jack- On a corsa you should get away with 195/50s, in which case there cheaper so you can afford to go for a better tyre

you should be fine with 195/50 but go for 195/45 to be on the safe side and they look better. plus you can go lower if you really wanted to, like me

I've got Nankangs on the cavalier and they're fine. Very nice in the dry, and I don't drive hard enough to notice any difference in the wet.

NANKANGs are Yokohama's budget brand. Though that doesnt make them good.
195/50 or 45 would be the only choice tbh Jack. I ran 50's on my Nova. Could be a bit slimmer in sidewall but only if you are really bothered about looks. Just choose the brand wisely & they will be fine, as some tyres are made bigger than others despite being same size.

i have run 195/50 15s and 195/45 15s on my corsa.
Even with the rears set as low as they'll go on the coilovers neither catch.
some 195/50's seem to make it 'tramline'...?
