Dodgy Bumpers from Vauxhall

Just posting this to see if anyone else has had the same problems regarding bumpers from vauxhall and really just to air some frustration . Right the story starts with me scraping my front bumper on my Zafira GSi , not a lot of damage but enough to need doing . Not a problem got protected no claims let the blood sucking insurance pay for it . Car booked in having a new bumper as theres a minor crease , body shop going to sort out a few bits and pieces while the paints mixed , I get to keep the old bumper as it could have been repaired by Chips away , stick it on E-bay make some money to cover bit of excess job done.

That was 2 weeks ago the body shop have now rejected there fifth bumper . The first one the paint lifted off when it had been painted (reaction with vauxhalls primer) next one stripped of vauxhall primer and painted then dips and sags found on the flat surface under the head light areas of the bumper , next 3 exactly the same as the second . Two were really bad . You would think that after the 5 th bumper some one at the vauxhall dealers would say hang on somethings not right here, but no they just planned to keep on ordering new bumpers till the cows come home . There excuse is its the quickest way to cure the problem rather than talk to Vauxhall . They even tried to blame the body shop .

When I eventually decided enough was enough and phoned the dealership in question they were completely use-less and didnt seem to think there was a problem . apparently its quite normal to order 5 gsi bumpers in under a week . Once I mentioned that I had already contacted Vauxhall uk and that they would be getting a phone call on monday from them . Did there attitude change . There exact words where " I spose we had better takes some pictures of the bumpers and send them off , might take some time tho " Hows that for customer service.

This is my 8 th Vauxhall so in no way can I be classed as hater , and I have received great service from a couple of dealers . My main beef is that no one at the dealers or even Vauxhall could comprehend that something is wrong . Ive since found out that theres only 5 bumpers left in the warehouse . So its not looking good .

I never realised something so simple could be so difficult. Lovely thou a 1.0 litre polo is I brought a Zafira GSi for a bloomin reason!!.

Am I alone in this problem or has anyone else suffered at the apparent total lack of quality control at Vauxhall

last month i bought a brand new genuine nova rear bumper from vauxhall, the bit at the numberplate light on the rear bumper has a bit that bevvels up towards the bottom of the tailgate and then dips down , ive tried repairing it using sika flex and clamps but no luck, just gonna live with it
