pirelli 195/55/15 H - what speed rating?

hello all,

ive got a cavalier 2.5 V6, which ive just bought some alloys for.

they needed some tyres, and a mate of mine had some nearly new (7-8mm on each tyre)

pirelli p6000 195/55/r15 tyres, so i bought them off him.

one thing ive just noticed, they are all H rated? apparently im supposed to have V rated tyres for the V6.

whats the speed rating on these tyres? ( H rated)?

as i cant find it on google lol.

the main reason i ask, is because the cav V6 will be going down the German Autobahn's in summer, and i dont want the tyres to blow out from constant high speeds etc. not that im going to be sitting at 140mph the whole way, but i'd rather be safe than sorry if you know what i mean.

H rating is upto 130mph. V rating is upto 149mph IIRC.

Ideally its best to go for V rating, for obvious reasons.

If you decide to buy new tyres, remember it doesn't always follow that a higher speed rating means a higher price! I got 4 Y rated tyres cheaper than the V rated in the same line!
