Tinted Windows... Graduated or one colour all round???

    what dyall think then peeps???

    do you think either:

graduated from black on rear screen, dark smoke on quarters and then light smoke on drivers and passengers....

    OR

one solid colour on all windows (which would be dark smoke)

    Cheers All!

I know what u mean about graduated, alot of 'posh' MPV vehicles are having that now, ie Chrysler etc......

I reckon one colour looks alot better tho mate, but cant say i am a massive fan of really dark tints full stop, why not get it all done light/med smoke???

still looks great, u can actually see out at night! and wont attract too much attention from the rozzers!

Light smoke looks good on all side windows.

Rear screen tint is for pimps or newer cars (in my opinion)

Tint the rear screen you just look like a rude boy

what i understand by that is that your telling me to tint the side windows and leave the rear one plain -

    IMHO that would look poo!

Do you know where you're getting 'em done, how much you're paying yet?

I was thinking of one tint for rear sides and back and a slightly lighter one for the front sides..

Same with everything- each to their own.
Not saying it looks bad- just not my cup of tea.

Think you should get the same shade all round tho- tends to look better.

I've had quite a few other people email me about window tints.
I WILL have prices soon. A meeting is being arranged involving teh relevant personnel, and once the terms have been thrashed out, Xstyle will be offering these services at a discount, to what that company normally undertakes them at.

So u are guaranteed its a professional job!
We will most likely also be doing something like "supa-glass"?
    window strengthening...

all details will be available soon, please bear with me folks.

    Thank you.

The front side windows are only allowed to be 50% by law. I belive yours are 35%.

My front two are 50% and the rest are 35% but you dont really notice any differnce to be honest.

I don't wish to chuck a spanner in the works, but, Mr. Plod is very, very funny about window tints, so what ever you decide i'ed make sure its within the law.

If not, you'll only get a nasty fine and told to have the tints removed.

That is exactly what happened to a customer that recently bought a Disco from us with illegal tints.

That aside, I think they look good on cars with a large glass area ie. Estates and MPV's etc. or, dark coloured cars.

im now having dark smoke all round...

which is 20%.... 35% is the legal - not much point having 35% as not much different

olly, 35% isnt the legal limit. the actual limit is 40%

the tinting places tell you 50% is the limit but thats only coa a lot of standard windows are tinded a little anyway, so they do their legal tints at 50% and not 40% to compensate for this.

so ive been told anyway, im having 35% on my fronts and either 20% or 5% on backs and rear i reckon.... thatll cost me £180 too

You can get cheap quality film and high quality film...
the higher the better, helps prevent UV rays, is safer on the skin etc, and is generally more effective.

What do u lot think of PENTAGON ??
They are the market leaders in Window Tinting.
And I work for Yellow Pages, so I come into contact with a lot of companies, and in doing so I can say that Pentagon are brilliant all round.

Check out their website & let me know what u think?
    www.pentagonglasstech.com

Obviously they are expensive, but just look at their quality.
I believe they charge around £350 upwards.

Thing is mate, they could be the best in the world but most people who tint their windows do it
    1) For the look
    2) To stop thieving gits peeking into the car, a bit of extra security.

and would probably not pay double when they can get the same look, with the work guaranteed, for half the price.

    IMO, of course

    me too!!!

I will probably go 35% on the sides and 20% on just the rear...

as they are on the end of the car - i dont think that it would be that noticable DIFFERENCE, but the darker the better - safety wise!

if u want safety, why not get "supaglass"?
    wont shatter when hit.

erm... sorry - i meant safety as in people not being able to look in etc...

apparently the tints im getting has an added strengthener so all the windows tinted shatters but stays in one piece and doesnt brake...
