when I wash the bonnet on me Cav, it dyes the sponge blue!![]()
What does this mean?? It doesnt do it on the rest of the car and the bonnet does look a bit funny.

Its likely to be oxidation of the paint.... time to get the T Cut and polish out mate......

Can you post any close up pics of it?
Sounds like the pigment in the paint is breaking down?
Either that or a badly laquered paint finish which has somehow led to the surface of the paint become highly oxidised and beginning to be washed off..........
try and t cut a small area and see wat happens.......

Perhaps the vehicle had a new bonnet which was badly sprayed at some point in its history.
Right.... cant get any pics yet - I'll try and get some asap.
It may have ahd a new bonnet.... dunno - but the paint on the bonnet, the front passenger side wing and the rear passenger side door are all badly matched. Its just the stuff on the bonnet that stains everything blue.
