Help On How To Spray
I have bought a front grill but it needs sprayin. felt like a challange any body give me any pointers on how, where and what.

Rub it down rearly well.
Wash off with water and dry.
Warm up the spray can (should be too much of a problem in this weather)
Start spraying in the fiddly and hard to get to areas first working out to the nice large bits
Apply light coats and let dry. DON'T GET CARRIED AWAY saying oh just a bit more here !
Once finished spraying for a bit, invert can and spray to clean out the nozzle. Otherwise the can will spit on the grill.
Don't put the grill on newspaper as the wind will blow and bugger the grill paint up. Even if it's a calm day. If I had a penney for everytime.....
Best to put on wood on the grass.

Are you just using spray cans, or do you have access to a compressor and gun??

I can get my hands on a compressor and gun if it makes the job any easier

Make sure you do the coats equally and dont rush otherwise it will end up patchy.

If you are going to use aerosols try to check to pattern of the spray first (before buying). Some spray in a fan, like a spray gun, which makes it far easier to paint with.
Wet sand with P1000 (if the grill is already painted), wipe clean with a degreaser, spray on primer, and then depending on instructions on tin, either spray on topcoat when dry, or leave overnight/several hours, wet sand again with P1000 and then topcoat in 2-3 coats.

halfords match paint colours to order and come with a wide spray nozzle so you can get a really good finish, use plenty of heat warm the can and the panel up with a hairdryer or heat gun first and it'll shine a lot easier then
dont buy the paint off the shelf at halfords go to the parts desk and ask them to mix it for you the colour match will be better as well

Hey, did you know the propelant in the cans is butaine and it will explode if you heat it up too much!

As long as it is above about 20 degrees it will be fine. If it is too hot the paint will apply very peely because the solvent will evaporate before the paint can flow out properly.
