Worth it or not???

I just been quoted £700 to have all the dents on my car removed, rear arches cut out and new ones welded and flushed, bodykit fitted and smoothed in and Evo bonnet vent fitted and smoothed (with bad boy bonnet brows also) and then have the whole car resrayed in original carmine red. I'm not sure waht to do as the car is only a 1.3 and did only cost me £300 in the first place.

What do you guys think?

It doesnt matter what the car cost you,

If its in good nick and you like the car and you are happy to pay the price for the work then its worth it.

same as above - you like the car... then do it!

sounds a good price tho! for all what you have mentioned about, simply because i got quoted £600 just for a respray plain 10L Glacier White!

as for the engine size - that dont matter as you can always put a bigger engine in when your insurance drops??!!!

again as said above definatly worth it the normal price for a re spray is about £300-£600 arches cut out £170 and a bodykit fitted im not sure of the price on that as i normally do it myself and if there welding on the bad boy bonet brows then thats £80 odd. as for the engine size mines only a 1.4 and as said above just get a engine transplant in the future to a valver or something and still pay your insurance company the same price as your paying for your 1.3..

Cheers for the input guys, guess i'll be getting that loan after all, thats gonna piss my bird off but hey.....

Neel, i know your situation mate, i've been looking for nearly a year to get this work done and I just walked up to this guy in a bright red nova in a car park and said "Oi, you had that sprayed or what?" and then he gave this guys number.

If you want I can get it for you and you can poodle over and get a quote for yours too. He's based in Cuffley.
