Spray Paint Job

Im thinking about spraying my bonnet, wings and bumper on my corsa

the color is silver

i have a unit so im going to build a wooden frame and put plastic sheeting on it to keep dust out, i have a compressor (50litres) i need a spray gun

how hards spraying silver? iv never sprayed with a gun before just fizzy tins but i have **** loads of panels to practice on before i do mine.

any help and information on spraying would be apricated.

if its a metalic silver make sure you do a drop coat ( a very light coat from further away) after you have done the main coats, this allows the metallic particles to stand up properly,thus giving a nice metalic finish. ul need to laquer it aswell.apart from that it the same method as painting any other colour realy.go on you tube or sumin and type in spray painting, you can see how other people do it.

cheers mate, what about color matching ? is that hard to do as im sure the paint will have faded since 1999 lol,

shouldnt think it will be too badly faded, can you not use any colour chips to get as close as poss to the colour?
