ahh well worth a try, tried to spray my side mouldings and handles to match the car, handles still being done, mouldings look just ok, the tops are a little scraggy as there ain't much room and it decided to bond to the masking tape ! bit of wet and dry and touch up tomoz and I hope it will look ok. Ironically the bottom bits are fine as there was bags of room between tape and moulding, ho hum.

Also my dad just waded into the garage and put water all over my handles just after spraying the final coat ! doh.

Yeah, my dad doesnt know anything about the Mechanics, but he has owned enough Triumphs and Austins in the distant past to be able to give good advice with the bodywork.

Beany - I assume you have to sand the mouldings down to get rid of a coating which repels the paint?

yup sanded it all down cleaned with white spirit and sanded again really rough, sprayed plastivc filler primer stuff on, sanded with fine wet and dry etc etc..
