    Headlight Tinting

    Is headlight tinting legal?

    If it is.. what's the best method?
    Does anyone produce tinted headlights for the mk3 Cav??

    its been said as long as the reflector isnt altered.the backing can be tinted.

    just unclip the lens,mask of the reflector and spray.

    Just spray the reflector with that tinting spray stuff, I'm guessing..

    Reckon I'll get a spare pair of headlights in case I fook it up completely

    old post but...

    I think you are talking about headlights, and LEE69 talking about tail lights (where are there reflectors on the headlights?)

    I got lense covers and tinted them - remove them at night if you can't see, and if local plod gives you hassle - you can take them off (temporarily)

    LEE69 was talking about removing the glass and spraying the mirrored reflector of the headlamp.
    Tried that, looked pants (I mean really pants )
    Already decided that tinted covers would be best, just waiting for Vx to ring me with my parts order and I'll get it sorted

    Erm......
    remove them at night if you can't see
    That's a scary comment... how dark are yours tinted, and have you upped the bulb wattage to compensate?

    They were quite dark, not the best picture but


    They were okay on a class roads and open b roads, but i'm a great believer that you cant have enough light on a back road - too many deer going about!!!
