having got myself a set ofvauxhall badged nmber plates, I was wondering as to the best way of fitting them, without having to drill through the plate!!!

I use the professional sticky pads that manufacturers use for brand new cars on their number plates - which dont come off!!!

You can find them at your local NumberPlate specialist, usually about 20p per sticky pad...

I use this for my plates and rear panel! neither of which are coming off....

Self Adhesive velcro, then you can clean behind them when you wash the car and the water dont keep running out from behind them.

Go anywhere near a cruise or a traffic cop and they will fine yo' ass.

Well I went for sticky velcro pads, £2.99 from Halfords for a set of 4!! The number plates are on, and look excellent!! The red badge doesn't stand out as well as I'd hoped, but then seeing as the cars red, it wasn't likely to!!
TomH, get some from where I got mine...........!! I'll send you an e-mail pic of my plates if you want!?!? Let me know which addy to send it too!!
Wanted my plates to come off, that way I can get behind and clean!!!

Plus if you use show plates at shows, it makes them piss easy to change.

You can get sticky backed velcro from Focus.
Its made by the same people that make duck tape, and is very strong.

    UPDATE:

Well those sticky velcro pads lasted all of 3 days, came out this morning (ahem, not in the biblical sense guys!! ) to find both plates on the floor where the heat had made the glue soft on the pads!! Looks like I'll be going for the double-sided sticky pad idea!!!! Although I am considering a magnetic strip for the rear plate!!

Yep, I got some plates from there, took one look at the sticky pad and got the drill out.
I wanted the plates to stay on, so drilled and screwed them in, but they still look really cool.
