    Rieger Badboy Bonnet Extensions

Anyone know the quality of these?
Not definate, just playing around with a few ideas and we came up with badboy idea.

Are the rieger ones any good, what they made from, how they attached etc etc....or would be best to weld on a sheet of metal to make it same as bonnet???

    Any gen?

Reiger ones are plastic , they come with bonding adhesive and small self tapping screws with the guide holes already in place , and once fitted is a sod to get the bonnet open !!!!

Ive just got 1 of these made of fibreglass. Had to be bonded on then fibreglassed and filled onto the bonnet to make it smooth. Also had to take the bonnet lever out from under the bonnet as opening it was impossible without bending the extension (and having checked it stayed closed at 90 mph it should be ok without 1)
ps im gonna stop giving these long winded replies out now, u lot must be so bored of them !!lmao

Enigma - Im pretty sure you will fail MOT without the bonnet catch.

even tho ive still got the main latch that opens it from inside the car ?? And if so would fitting those bonnet pins mean it will pass ?? *feels kinda gutted now* I HATE THE STUPID LAWS ON CARS !!!!

the bonnet latch/cable inside the car isnt enough. someone can come along and just wrenched your bonnet up if they tried hard enough. and if it ever somehow snapped....any bonnet fly open doing 90mph gen?

Im not 100% sure, but if by having a badboy on my astra means ridding of bonnet latches or anything, then it wont be going ahead.

You cut into your grill when your bonnet catch is, this way you can get into your car bonnet easily without trying to create a deathtrap.

    See Picture Below

Yes that is one way. But the way I think is the best is if you get a bigger spring and catch so when you pull the lever inside the car, you can pull bonnet higher up to get unhook the catch.
