    Calibra aerodynamics

Right I'm not talking about massive spoilers here, but instead about reducing drag. Nemesis posted a video a few weeks back ( http://youtube.com/watch?v=G_NNeY7B8HU ), which states that the 8v calibra had a drag co-efficient of 0.26, whereas the 16v model was 0.29 due to enlarged grill. I've never noticed a difference in the grilles on calibras, does anyone have pics? Is it possible to fit an 8v grille to a 16v? The vid also mentions an undertray, should this cover the bottom of the engine bay, because mine doesn't have that (can tell by the oil marks on the road lmao ) again pics of undertray?
Already quite impressed with the mpg (40 on a run) but anyway I can improve it would be nice!

    Cheers, Oli

I got the impression that it was radiator/aircon and wider tyres that made the difference, although I have managed to avoid 8v calibras for long enough not to know for sure.

Re undertray, most XE engined cars had them originally, I don't think I've ever owned one with one however, it's just Haynes myth lol

my first Calibra 16v XE had its undertray in place. It decided to come unattached at the front during a MIG meet while we were all charging along the M5 at triple figure speeds, showering Lee69, joekont and mike hayward who were behind with a load of stoneslmaolmao

that must be 5 years ago now

Agreed on the wider tyres etc, will definately be partly to blame.
