Astra sxi alloys

Hi,

I know someone who is selling a set of supposidly brand new 16inch mk4 astra sxi alloys. Are these the same as mk4 astra sri ones?

What size tyres come on them as standard? I imagin they will be bigger than 195 45 16's so will need replacing.
I also think they are et49 and 6 inches wide. Can this be confirmed please.

I want to get them for my nova but am not sure if I can afford new tyres as well! Anyone know how much for a set of average quality (eg falken) 195 45 16 tyres?

if so they wont fit your 4 stud car mate.

I'm pretty sure that at least some mk4 astra's are 4 stud. Well I've seen a nova with mk4 astra sri 16" alloys.

yes miles a mk4 1.6 astra was 4 stud.
im not sure of the sri version.

I saw a white nova sri in PNG news that said it had mk4 astra sri alloys.

I've just looked on the vaux web site and the sxi alloys are the same design. So maybe he got them off a 1.6 sxi and called them sri ones because they are the same design.

In that case hopefully the ones I'm after are off a 1.6!

All SXI Astra's were 4 stud and they had the 4 stud version of the SRi Alloys......

Straight from the 2001 brochure, yes the SXi alloys are the same as the SRi alloys. 6Jx16 rims with 205/50R16 tyres.

I'm not sure about the 4/5 stud but I think ABS models are 5 stud and non-ABS 4 stud, or maybe 1.8 and above are 5 stud. All SRi models have ABS, SXi models don't.

yea they are going to fit and they are 4 stud! i was considering getting them for my nova but a set never arose in time thats why ive got the Mo's

So how much do you reckon I should pay for a set. They are complete with the standard size tyres and were only on the car for a week from new. Apparently both tyres and wheels are immaculet.

A Would a set of these week old tyres be worth much second hand?

The SXi has 4 stud wheels. (No discs on rear, just drums)
The SRi has 5 stud wheels. (Compensate for rear disc brakes)

I've now bought the alloys. They are 6j et49 and 4 stud. They came off a mk4 astra sxi 1.6.

Now to get them sprayed white, some new tyres and then on my car!
