    Mk3 Astra standard bumper question

Are all bumpers made out of the same material yeh? or are the colour coded ones ie: sport made out of something different to that of the black bumpers found on merits etc?

in other words, is it possible to attach and smooth/blend in 2 black bumpers (as mine were originally black and have been colour coded).

    any help will be appreciated.
    cheers

WTF? You mean smooth off your existing bumper?

Basically the body coloured bumpers on the Astra 3's were the same as the Merits just with fogs and from the top swage line down smooth and primed.

I've got a colour-coded rear bumper and a standard one in me shed and yes, they appear to be made of the same type of plastic!

They are made of the same plastic. You can buy over bumpers though through
    Irmscher.

Like bumper extensions for standard bumpers. Bruce Laver has one on his front bumper. Looks very nice too. I know where you can get em cheap too!

Narrr, didn't really have a good night. Everyone was in a bad mood. Phil spend most of the weekend over mine ripping appart this Cavalier!

V6 is still in the car. Wiring loom is all out along with some other bits and pieces. Engine should be out in about 2 weeks time I hope.

Took me ages to find this pic. Anyway, this is Bruce's car with side skirts and bumper extension. He doesn't have a rear bumper extension. But have a look on www.irmscher.com

Got to Irmscher.com then select English. There should be a menu bar on the left hand side. Select 'accessories Program', then select classics.

You'll then see a pic of a Calibra and also another menu bar. There should be a list of all the past Vauxhall/Opels. Find what you want.
