    Orange Tigra :)

Question Should i get a body kit? yes or no?

Ive got an orange tigra, its been lowered (along with lottsa mods) the front is pretty low anyway with the standard bumper, about a fist off the floor, someone has driven into me and cracked my front bumper and i can buy any front bumper i want, already payed for.

so i was thinking about getting a kit but i have been told they are not as good quality as the standards. anyone with a kit that can give me any advice?

Also alotta kits look tacky, what does everyone think stay standard or get kit?

    Like its stolen
Sometimes its nice to be different, but personally I would just go for a set of tasteful motorsport looking wheels and lower it, as most bodykitted cars look worse than they started IMHO

Standard. 99.9% of bodykits look **** regardless of the car they are fitted to.

Think it depends on the car and the kit!
I put a reiger kit on my cali, and i think it looks a lot better than the standard look myself.
Huge spoilers and bonnet scoops look crap!
Yourve got to go with what you like yourself bro.
Some kits do look pretty daft though if there extreme.

    There are bodykits....

....and there are bodykits...at the end of the day, it depends if you want to f*ck your car up or not. Take your pick with these two. If it's the second one, then you need to have a very long thing about how worthy you value your sanity.

I've had nicer things fall out of my ass to be honest. People strive too hard to have something individual now and end up creating monstrosities like that above. To me, it represents everything that is wrong with car modified today.

hmmm.......i like a nice, kitted up car that looks subtle. My old Corsa was along those lines. But that monstrosity [sp?] of an astra looks like a hoover my mam used to have :P

Im just about to have a full kit fitted onto my tigra, suppose it all depends on what you like really as you are the person driving it!

My only problem is finding wheels!!

It's all down to personal choice and stye of course but sill big kitted cars, massive spoilers and drainpipe exhausts will see most people over 15 laughing at you. Subltety(sp?) is the key. Some slightly different wheels, lights (*NOT Lexus), colour coded rubbing strips and badges etc can make all the difference. Personally I like cars that make you look because you know something is different but have to find it rather than in your face chav mobiles.

Euro cars tend not to have bodykits. Much smoother simple bodywork, small, but wide wheels and they certainly don't have Lexus lights. Yours isn't in the 'Euro' style at all I'm afraid.

This typifies 'Euro style' for the Tigra.
