Escort Turbo Recaros into a corsa?

Has anyone ever tried fitting the recaros out of an escort turbo into a corsa?

I got a pair of 90 spec turbo seats for nothing and was going to try fitting them into the corsa, was just wondering if anyone else had tried this before or if they would fit

    Cheers David

I had Bmw ones in my nova,

Pissed me off inthe end, Gave me really bad back ack, and if sitting right my head touched the headlining..

Easy to fit, Iground all the mounts for the nova seat off, at the back of the slider there are two holes, they lined up wit the holes in the mount on the seat, so i bolted them stright thru.

are the seatbelt pre tensioners and buckle sockets connected to the seats or the sub frames in the corsa? Was thinking of using the origional subframes but wasnt sure if these unbolted from the standard seats or if it would be a grind off and weld job. Haven't even looked yet since its not running lol had more pressing issues to try and sort first.

cool m8 cheers as the escort ones bolt to the floor so i know theres no fitting for them on the seat. At least if im using the full original subframes then this shouldn't be a problem

Yea i had a feeling that would be the case, not a problem as long as the seats dont catch fire during welding lol.

Totally different Ben, Nova's are the same as Manta/Mk1 Astra's.

I've done this with RS Turbo recaros onto a MK2 Astra subframes (same as Corsa) and found it was bext to get a non height adjustable subframe without the pre-tensioners and grind down the bottom of the Escort seat(sits to high otherwise) then bolt the Astra subframe though what was left of the seat.

I had a set of these in my old nova gte, i unbolted the sunframe off the recaro seat and binned that, then bolted the recaro seat to it. It really was as easy as that, i'm 100% certain that i didn't weld anything, all i did was re-drill the hoels under the recaro seat to match the holes on the subframe runners and a couple of nuts and bolts.

I had to shorten the adjuster down as it stuck out too far at the front of the seat.

I will try and find some pics of when i did it. It was common sense anyway.
