Well i would say you have got to mount the solinoind were it can do what it should then use the + and - from the wiper motor to make it work

is it really wise using the rear wiper switch to pop the boot?? its so easy to catch it, u dont want ur boot openin when your drivin down teh road. you would be much better off wiring in a seperate switch somewhere safe where it wont be caught.

my advice, get it done properly. give it to a reputable bodyshop. There not easy tasks.

Certain paints or a keen eye, will see the imperfections if not done right or rushed, & after time, the spot welds will start showing thro, whcih is even worse!

Dont fit the pop or soliniod to the wiper stalk!
cause you you catch it or press it when you didnt mean to it can be bad.. say if you doing 80 on the motorway...

What car do you have Lasticlio?

Smoothing the boot is not all that dificult tbh, ok it takes finess to work the lines back in with filler etc... but a good welded base and it makes the job a hell of a lot easier!
