Ok, Im getting delocked passenger side veccy handle and drivers side veccy handle with room for lock barrel.
My question is; do i need backing plates?

"with no backingplates you remove your lock, ie, you dont have one.
If you get backing plates then you can leave your lock behind the 'blanked off' section of the veccy handle, so that if your alarm feks up you can bray a screw driver into the blank plate and still get into your car using the key"
So Im gonna delock passenger side with no backing plate so lock is completely gone. And then get backing plate for drivers side but have a delocked handle like Dave says.
Problem I see with that though, would handle still sit flush if lock is sitting behind it?
