Alloys on mk3 Astra
What's involved to get 18's on an astra??
Also, what's the widest alloy an astra will take without hard work or money being thrown at it??

18s on an astra?
no matter if you get the correct offset or not it is unlikely that you will get away without scrubbing.
You are definetly looking at taking off at least a little bit of the lip on the rear arch.
Uprated shocks would also be a very very good idea.
Thats it really, they go on. ET42+ again obviously.
8" to the last one, but if you're going for 18s go for <7.5"

Thanks mate.......very helpful!!
Not that I'm likely to ever get 18's, just wanted to know what would be involved!!
I've got rusty arches and a rear to repair, before I can even consider wheels and/or suspension!!

no problem, glad to help
wow, your car is still accident damaged?

Well the car is looking a lot better than last year (even though last year it was standard but in good nick)......this year it looks better but is showing a few fundamental flaws (rusty arches, fading paint)!!
I'll be drinking quite a bit, prob not get pished as I might wanna take a 'decent' car for a drive!!
Am keen to see how different yours is from last year, thought it was great then...........!!..............I do want your front brakes though!!

hehe, dont think they would fit behind your wheels mate
