I fitted mines about 3months ago. Total cost was £4.

Ive got the carlton surround in mines, dont fit as good as the astra one, but as I dont spend much time looking at my roof, i dont care.

I just noticed on the EPC that there is a motor listed for the Astra.
Its the same one as the Vectra 90503754.

Whats the part number for the cream surround??
The only one I have listed is 90439359 which says its grey.

    lmao questions, questions.....

Anyone tried an 'intelligent' Omega one? the one you dial up a setting and it moves itself till it gets to the desired position?

    They're quite cool too.

Mines wired up to the glovebox light loom so that means it only works with ignition which is good. You press and hold it to one way (tilt, or fully open), and the other way to close it for eg: hold the tilt to open it on tilt, press and hold slide to close the tilt. then let go and press slide to slide it back.

    Simple.

Lagerlout; Yes that is the surround number. It says grey, but its actually creamy grey.

the leccy sunroof and the sunvisors are both from a 97 vectra , no cutting was involved for the headlinning but the motor housing had to be modded slightly to mount the older sunroof in my car ( 95 astra )
the sunvisors fit but u have to move the clip along by about 5mm
u can see bot types of clips used and the differance between the visors
Its not how fast u go Its how late u brake

My surround is for specifically for a Astra Mk3. The part number for it from Vauxhall is 90439359. It costs £6.99 incl VAT.

I got the motor and switch off Yamaha on MIG. All the looms came with it.

Its very simple to wire up, you can either splice into the interior light loom which will mean the sunroof is permanently live ie: it will work without ignition, or you can wire it down into the glovebox light loom which means it only works with ignition (same as mine).

On later Mk3 Astras (Sport etc), the looms are already in place.
To wire it down into the glovebox, just feed the wire across the headlining and down the a-pillar trim and then into glovebox. Simple.

not quite true. mines 1 of the last ones made so maybe they got rid of old stock bits - not even vauxhall realised that it was the sunroof loom when i asked them

AdamSRi - I notice you havn't yet got map reading lights. If its possible to wire them in speak to Shaun aka YAMAHA. He has a few available. Even got the Carlton ones with the little ball map readers. (which look smart with blue sidelight bulbs )

They do look quite nice though.

Are you going to Billing?? If so I'll ask him to bring one with him. You can look at it then. He also has one fitted with blue map lights fitted to his car.

    Nova IT's 4 SALE!!!
Sorry to hijack but i love those leccy roofs and, yes youve gessed it ANOTHER question!

I have a nova saloon and am thinking about hadding a sunroof, talking to people they say the external 'stick-on' types are best if you have no sunroof!
Are the novas roof lining ready made to take a sunroof, if so where is the bulge for the glass to go back into?
