cally leather into mk3 astra estate

hi, just wondering if the cally leather is a straight swap into the mk3 astra estate? or is it a case of swapping subframes like in the nova?

    re

fronts are easy peasy, just bolt in, rears are considerably more involved......... i did it a couple of months ago having been told that the rears will bolt striaght in... they wont!!!!!

firstly the cally rear back is too wide for the mounts, so you need to cut the captive mounts off the the shell, cut about 1/2 " out of each , weld back together, then weld back in. then you need to make the moutning brackets on the cally seats the same dimesion as the astra ones, from pivot to catch....... doing it again would take me a couple of hours now i know what i do, but it took me all day....!!!!

remeber the estates have a slightly different rear floorpan, so you cant just bend and bodge like you can on saloons/hatches. (well you can, but dont expect them to fold properly)

pm me for more info, but dont expect a quick reply, as i dont get on here more that once or twice a week these days!!!!

in a nutshell, if you cant weld, then give up now, if you can, then ill try and explain a bit better to show you where to cut and shut......
