Gear Knob & Gaiter!!

Having just replaced my original gear knob and gaiter with Conrero replacements, I've encountered a small rather bothersome problem!!
The gaiter has gone on fine, looks great....etc etc!! But the gear knob itself has left the lift-up reverse spring visible......you can see about 2 cms of the spring.....this isn't a BIG problem (if it can be sorted then please help!!) but when I want to change into reverse I now have to stretch my thumb and fingers to the max in order to grab the reverse collar!!

Can anyone help or offer advice??

sounds like the knob isnt as far down as it should be.
are you sure its sitting right down?

yup, if i push it down futher than it is already, then when I lift the collar for reverse, it won't come high up to engage reverse!!

you have got a "lift up to reverse "gear knob havnt you?

should be quite hollow underneath to allow the collar to go up it.

sounds like you got the wrong gear knob.

get in contact with MK2_ASTRA_SXI hes got a MOMO gear nob that doesnt quite like reverse to much...

well that's what i ordered from demon tweeks......will they refund me then even though i've used the gear knob??
as for it allowing the collar to go up inside, no way is that gonna happen!!

pack it up send it back.tell em you need one for lift up reverse.

lift up to reverse knobs are either shallower in their depth, or have a recess under them for the pull-up collar........

if you have bought a normal push-down to reverse knob then it will either not work at all, or will be a bit of a pain......

just ring Demon Tweeks up, and say that you specifically asked if it would work with pull-up reverse for a Vauxhall and demand they return it/replace it mate........even if ya didnt, they should be able to refund/replace......
