    Brake clearance

Hi all. I have a set of Reyland 300mm brakes and 4 pot calipers. To run them with Speedlines I need to use a 5mm spacer in order for the wheel to clear the calipers. I don't like using spacers and would like some different wheels but don't want to stray from 49mm offset. I'm thinking of going to 17's (know it won't make any clearance difference) and looking at a set of Compomotive's. I'm hoping to get these in a 49mm offset and have my fingers crossed they'll clear the calipers...

Any advice or shared experience would be greatly appreciated!!

49mm offset compomotives will fit with the brakes!! I had my Reyland brake kit under Vauxhall corsa c 16 x 6 inch exclusive rims with a 49mm offset!!

    xe Nova on carbs
I was speaking to Martin Hadland when I got mine, and it was when he was running around in that Metro with an MGF engine in it, he was running the same brakes on that under 15" Compomotive MO's, and said they just cleared without spacers! He said running 16" + was advisable tho for cooling!
Here's a piccy to show clearance:
