To jap or not to jap?

Gonna be starting on the bodywork for my mkII Astra GTE soon. Im going to build something one off, not too over the top, just not the same as others. Will be custom building bumpers, skirts and spoilers out of fibreglass, thinking of also doing bonnet amongst other things.

But do i go with the jap-style bumpers look along with race wing, aggressive skirts and bonnet etc

    or

A simpler smooth look, just nough to make it look more modern but so its still immediately obvious what it is

    or combine the two!!!!!
