I was told today that all production of cellulose has stopped and it will only be on sale until stocks run out.
If this is true what do I use after that. Don't want to use two pack as I value my health too much.

Water based or isocyanate are the only options.
Kerbside coachworks is no more!
Had some feed back reguarding water based! and it is said to have good results!
Old school ISCOOL!
I heard that Cellulose paint is only going to be distributed to licenced premesis? so only top notch body shops will be able to use it.
sware i read it just before christmas
It was talked about a few years ago now. I worked for a company that supplied thinners/gun cleaners/panel wipe etc and rumours were doing the rounds then.
Iirc in Spain (or at least somewhere in Europe) you don't get any car paint full stop if you're not a registered bodyshop.
Water based paints were an absolute nightmare when they were first introduced but guessing they're more manageable now
Once home users/back street garages are outlawed from using paint then you watch the price of minor shunts/paintwork go through the roof. It'll become a monopoly in smaller towns where there are only one or two bodyshops imho.

good point that allvaux.im getting plenty of practise in using celly for interior plastics and 2k on the body work.ive already got my next door neighbour complaining of the smell.i was thinking of using a gazeebo as a temperory spray booth and just spray the whole car.best get it done before its illegal.

I once saw a lad spray his car in an old tent-you know the bloody massive ones with bedrooms in them? He'd cut the side rooms out and it seemed to work. I suppose it's still worth soaking the area just outside for a good while to ensure you don't accidentally get any dust contamination.
No offence (especially if I have got the wrong end of the stick) but for Lord's sake don't use two pack without an air fed mask and in a proper spray booth. The isocyantes will destroy your lungs and your neighbours too if enough gets out. You'd be in deep doo-dah if that happens mate.
Please take no offence by that, but just trying to warn how dangerous it can be.

its more 2k/2pac they want to stop,

Well the paint i have at the moment is vauxhall caribic blue, 2k basecoat. is there any difference between this and 2 pack? with this stuff you mix it with half thinners and then use a clear coat ready mixed over it within 6 hours.
by the way allvaux i dont take offence to someone potentially saving my life, even though i was aware of the dangers of using 2 pack etc and the need for an air fed mask i was still going to go ahead using a normal respirator mask and poke a couple of fans out the gazeebo.also going to use a couple of those halogen heaters in there too.its going to be a frenzy of danger come to think of it.i will get loads of pics and post them up.im ging to do some research into this water based paint though.if its cheap enough i will deffo try it

normal respirator mask is what we use,and are fine to use with spraying,

use acrylic
It sounds like Benn knows more than me about this and I certainly don't want to disagree with him as my knowledge is a bit dated on these matters.
As regards your 2k base coat I thought 2k meant two pack but stand to be corrected. WRT halogen heaters, and excuse me if this sounds daft, is there any risk of a heat source with a flammable nearby? I'm thinking of the fire triangle scenario here: heat, oxygen and fuel, all of which would be present in your gazebo if I understand the above correctly? I know all this is making me sound like a Health & Safety nerd but it's just my mindset these days after a few years of working with chemicals and I would rather sound like a nitpicking twonk than suggest taking risks.

we use both infored heater and gas heaters,
and you can spray with both of them on and close ok,
but thats in an over,
in a gasbo it might get a lil dodgy,
and you wont have an air in and out sorce will you?
and i dont know that much...just stuff..lol

2K Metalic basecoats are polyester, there's no Hardener required.
Solid colour or Laquer 2K uses the isocyanate hardener.
You can use ready for use Celly top coat laquer over 2K base, then you only need a vapour mask and gloves.
Cyanide is absorbed through the skin as well as by inhalation and ingestion, that's why the full suit is a must.

good advice there mark.anyways i gots alot of spraying done in the gazebo.was only using celly on the plastics, worked a charm, stoped me overspraying onto the garden gnomes and also stopped any wind issues.
benn as for air in and out source i had 2 15 inch fans, one in and one out.
i also used latex gloves as always when doing any job on the car,its just easier then scrubbing your hands to death at the end of the day.ive got a full body suit too but its from poundland so not so sure on it.by the way paint thinners dissoves latex gloves.another top tip/warning

depends who makes the paint,
you should have a data sheet telling you how to mix it,
+i've never used celly its nasty stuff,
and not sure if its got the same flash off time as 2pac and so on,but if it has then about 20mins...

i dont think it is the same as 2pack with the flash of times.im debating weather or not to bother laquering it now.
