cheap aldi buffer good enough for the job?

ive recently got into spay painting using my compressor etc and i need to respray my bonnet, boot and maybe the roof too.was just wondering if this aldi special buy would be up to the job of buffing up the new paint work with some G3? suppose for just a tenner its worth a try.

what you'll find is the elasticated 'shower caps' that go over the turning wheel fly off too easily lol

bodyshops use buffers with a foam compound 'tip', kind of like a drill with a bit shaped like a big felt tip pen nib that rotates.

suppose you could have a go and it is leaves ****e swirl marks etc give it to a bodyshop to do. buffing is an art form

oh well after mentioning it unfront of my dad he went and bought one today anyway lol.so i might just give it a try anyway and let you know how i get on/end up having to rpay it all again.
Foreverwhite i know buffing is an art form as is the whole spray painting proccess.but its an art form i intend to learn myself as its one of those skills id love to have to help me with my passion for cars and modifying them.its all one big lurning curve

your right about the ****ty shower caps they use by the way, think i might just take some creatine and give it a bit of elbow grease for now ,could do with the work out.

can't u use a staple gun to keep the shower cap bits on? i've always relied on elbow grease so i don't know how much oomph one of those has but it might do the trick

    you want one of these

    best polisher ever!!!

but if you just want it to apply waxes then I suppose the aldi one will do but Id rather spend the tenner on decent microfibre clothes and applicator pads
